Cocopeat is becoming the growing medium of choice. Almost every modern cultivator makes heavy use of cocopeat for growing high value plants.

Agro Vision Biotech Consultants is proud to bring you a very special item – cocopeat plugs. These cocopeat plugs (or expandable plugs) are used to grow high value seedlings. It is very easy to use these cocopeat plugs. Place one plug in each cell of a growing tray. Then immerse the whole tray into a water trough. Remove the tray from the water trough. Immediately each plug will expand up to 5 times its original volume. Insert one seed into each plug till it is about 1 cm to 2 cm deep. Notice the very fine bag that covers the expanded plug. This bag acts like a protective covering for the plug. It is this bag that gets pulled out of the growing tray when it is time to transplant the seedling. In this way there are two benefits: (1) the seedling does not get roughed up and damaged when it is being removed from the growing tray; (2) it is very easy to remove the seedling from the tray.
