Crops are susceptible to ground problems like weeds, termites, slugs, and insects. Cultivators have to spend a lot of time on removing weeds and insect nests from the cultivated area. This work is labour intensive and the farm workers have to be paid wages on a recurring basis. The wage bill adds to the cost of production and that reduces the farmer’s margin from his harvest.

Further, the ground around growing plants is often drenched due to leakage of irrigation water. This creates slush which makes the area dirty.

AVBC has introduced the perfect solution to ground problems affecting crops. Our solution is called ground cover. Our ground cover is made from tough material that can withstand normal use like workers walking over it (not cattle, of course!). The ground cover prevents weeds from growing in the area under cover. Our ground cover prevents infestation by insects that build nests with access to the ground surface. Most insects that move over the ground surface find it difficult to move over the ground cover and this eliminates or reduces the frequency of visits by such insects. Our ground cover prevents slush because it stops water from reaching the soil under cover.

Our ground cover can be used in open fields to prevent ground frost in cold weather conditions. The root system remains healthy and viable under cover.
